The mechanics of experience.
One of the strangest discoveries is how much experience changes when attention changes.
The external world can remain identical, yet the quality of experience shifts completely depending on where awareness is directed.
Many practices—yoga, meditation, breathwork, movement—seem less about changing reality and more about changing perception.
State precedes strategy.
People often believe they think their way through life.
I'm not convinced. State seems to come first.
The same person can make entirely different decisions depending on their level of energy, stress, fatigue, tension, or presence.
Understanding state may be more important than understanding strategy.
The consistent experience.
Across movement, music, meditation, dance, and even software development, similar experiences keep appearing.
Effort becomes effortless. Attention stabilizes. Time behaves differently. Action and awareness become less separate.
Different traditions describe this differently, but the underlying experience appears remarkably consistent.
Thinking with the body.
The body is not simply a vehicle for the mind. It actively shapes perception.
Breathing patterns, posture, movement habits, and physical tension all seem to influence how we interpret reality.
The body participates in thought.
The limits of certainty.
The deeper I explore these subjects, the less certain I become.
Some experiences fit neatly into neuroscience. Others don't.
Rather than forcing explanations, I've become comfortable treating some things as open questions. Curiosity remains more useful than certainty.
